IOWA CITY — Fourteen Solon High School students attended the 2022 Youth Salute Awards Program sponsored by Hills Bank Sunday, Sept. 11 at Hancher Auditorium in Iowa City.
Sydney Swierczewski was among 34 area students who were presented with Youth Salute Leadership Awards.
Hills Bank has sponsored the Youth Leadership Awards for 28 years. Youth Salute is a program of the National Council on Youth Leadership (NCYL) and is guided by the vision of making tomorrow’s world better by developing leaders today. The council’s mission is to assist communities to applaud, encourage, and provide opportunity for the leadership development of their youth.
Solon attendees included: Delaney Bombei, Addison Burden, Taylor Dee, Nora Dibble, Aisley Foster, Calla Foster, Keira Gogel, Keira Gogel, Georgia Havlicek, Peyton Knight, Mik Langenberg, Morgan Link, Kerrigan Lyons, Sydney Swierczewski, and Kayla Young.
2022 Youth Salute Displays will be available for viewing in the Mount Vernon office (720 1st Ave. SE) from Monday, October 17 through Monday, October 24 and in the North Liberty Forevergreen office (590 W. Forevergreen Road) From October 24 through Monday, Nov. 7.
