SOLON — Six varsity boys were named to the WaMaC Conference’s 2022 All-Conference Soccer Teams recently.
Seniors Dillon Bruck and William Wittich were First Team picks with Bruck leading the team in goals with 35 (tied with Nevada’s Drew Robinson for fifth in the state), four assists, and one penalty kick (PK). Wittich produced 13 goals, ten assists, and made two PKs.
Second Team selections were seniors Owen Erusha and Nate Ferguson. Erusha made five goals and two assists this season with one PK while Ferguson had two goals and three assists.
Seniors Logan Sieverding and Ethan McLaughlin earned WaMaC Recognition (honorable mention) for their efforts with Sieverding scoring twice this season while McLaughlin scored once on a PK.
The Spartans finished the season at 16-2 overall, 10-2 in the WaMaC, and 3-2 against WaMaC East teams for third in the division. Marion topped the WaMaC East at 12-0 (WaMaC) and 5-0 (East) with Beckman Catholic (Dyersville) second at 14-3 (WaMaC) and 4-1 (East).
