Monsignor Francis Henricksen will celebrate a special Memorial Day Mass in St. Bridget’s Cemetery–“The Nolan Settlement” on Monday, May 30 at 9:00 a.m. Please bring your own folding lawn chairs for the outdoor mass. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring information on the history of St. Bridget’s Church and Families of St. Bridget’s to share during the open house to follow. The church and new gathering house will open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Due to health concerns, we will not be serving refreshments in the church this year.
A brief program to honor all veterans with a special note to the veterans buried at the Nolan Settlement will be held in St. Bridget’s Church from 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The program will feature Phyllis Jacobson of West Branch and Mary Grace Elson of Iowa City leading the songs.
