LOUISVILLE, KY — Solon’s archery team competed in the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Eastern Nationals Tournament May 12-13 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY.
2,055 high school girls, 2,138 high school boys, 2,054 middle school girls, and 2,316 middle school boys participated in the event.
Solon’s high school squad finished the tournament 191st out of 215 while the middle school squad was 31st out of 205.
Andi Billerbeck scored 281, ranked 208th among high school girls, 39th out of 616 freshmen girls, and had an overall girls rank of 309 out of 5,352. Sophia Mills scored 276, ranked 406 among high school girls, 93rd out of the 616 freshmen girls, and 596 out of the overall girls. Brody Cash scored 274, ranked 634 out of 2,138 high school boys, 174th out of 514 juniors, and ranked 942 out of 5,951 overall boys. Braydon Hoffman scored 273, ranked 670 out of the high school boys, 181 out of the junior boys, and 1,002 out of the overall boys. Madison Craig scored 271, ranked 798 out of the high school girls, 206th out of 525 sophomore girls, and 1,285th out of the overall girls. Kassandra Rummel scored 268, ranked 798 out of the high school girls, 206th out of the sophomore girls, and 1,285th out of the overall girls. Evzen Meza scored 268, ranked 976 out of the high school boys, 259th out of 679 freshmen boys, and 1,567th out of the overall boys.
Daniel Tearse scored 259, ranked 1,381st out of the high school boys, 342nd out of the sophomore boys, and 2,495th out of the overall boys. Audrey Michels scored 257, ranked 1,305th out of the high school girls, 335 out of the sophomore girls, and 2,348 out of the overall girls. Gabe Nicholson scored 255, ranked 1,527th out of the high school boys, 378 out of 523 sophomore boys, and 2,883rd out of the overall boys. Lucy Miller scored 248, ranked 1,588th out of the high school girls, 454th out of the freshmen girls, and 3,097th out of the overall girls. Jack Hosking scored 188, ranked 2,121st out of the high school boys, 519th out of the sophomore boys, and 5,677th out of the overall boys.
During the season, archers compete in local, state qualifying, and regional events. Teams and individuals attempt to qualify for the Eastern and Western National Tournaments at the State Tournament. The NASP Tournament marked the end of the season for the Spartans, who held their Archery Banquet May 16. Practices and tournaments will resume in the fall.
