Solon’s varsity boys rebounded from a 2-1 loss to Marion with a 4-0 shutout over the South Tama Trojans Friday, April 8 at South Tama.
All four goals came in the second half with two from senior Dillon Bruck, and one each from sophomore Josiah Hale and senior Gabe Hinman. Hale and senior William Wittich were credited with one assist apiece with four shots taken by Wittich. Bruck took seven shots (five on goal), Hinman had two shots on goal, with one each from Hale, Logan Sieverding, Keegan Conway, and Eli Freerks.
John Peters had a clean sheet with two saves in 80 minutes in the goal.
The win improved Solon’s record to 6-1 while the Trojans dropped to 0-2.
