The Solon varsity girls golf team opened the 2022 season by winning the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Benton Community High School at the Tara Hills Country Club Saturday, April 9. The Lady Spartans topped the field with 411, followed by Columbus Catholic (413), Benton Community (416), and Vinton-Shellsburg (423).
Lilly Houtakker shot 97 on the day (47, 50), Taylor Dee carded 101 (50, 51), Rylie Greazel shot 106 (53, 53), Peyton Pentico a 107 (59, 48), Emma Hupfeld a 114 (58, 57) and Morgan Meiers a 126 (63, 63).
Solon hosts Clear Creek Amana and Independence Monday, April 18, at the Saddleback Ridge Golf Course at 4 p.m.
