Beverley Ann Vyrostek, 80, of Ely, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. A funeral mass was held Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Solon and burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre were in charge of arrangements.
Beverley was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Louis Ronald and Antonia (Schiberl) Yappel. She graduated from North High School in Eastlake, Ohio and took business courses at Lakeland Community College in Willoughby, Ohio. She started working at The National Acme Company as a secretary in the threading tools division. After twenty years, she became a realtor in Ohio, and later moved to Iowa to continue her career. She was a realtor with Corridor Connection Realty based in Solon, until her retirement.
Beverley is survived by her husband Gordon; sister Darlene Buehner of Mentor, Ohio; niece Michelle Freeze and her sons Jacob and Mitch of Mentor, Ohio; brother-in-law Lewis H. (Dian) Vyrostek of Pierpont, Ohio and nephews Lewis and Eric.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister in infancy and her brother-in-law Jack Buehner.
