Riders of all ages are invited to take part in the Solon Centennial Lions Bicycle Parade being held Saturday at the Solon Recreation and Nature Area. People are invited to dress in costume and decorate their bikes for the event.
It is part of the Solon Fall festival hosted by the parks and recreation department and Solon Community Center.
The day begins with pumpkin lantern painting at the Solon Community Center, starting at 10:30 a.m. (Ceramic pumpkins must be purchased.)
The Lions bike decorating station is open from noon to 1:30 at the Timber D.O.M.E. Lodge. Sugar Bottom Bikes is doing safety checks.
The parade starts at 1:45, a one-mile ride along the Solon Recreation and Nature Area trail. Riders of all ages are invited to wear costumes and decorate their bicycles.
That’s followed by Trunk or Treat at the SRNA.
The festival ends with a showing of “Ghostbusters” at the community center starting at 7 p.m.
