AMANA– Visit the Amana Colonies on Saturday, Aug. 7, for the sixth annual Bike Ride of Iowa County (BRIC). The event is free and riders must register to participate. Registration opens Saturday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at Millstream Brewing Company. The ride officially takes off at 11 a.m. from the brewery.
The BRIC route takes riders 28 miles through the Amana Colonies and to Marengo, the ride’s halfway point from the north before heading south to Highway 6 and returning to Millstream Brewing Co. in Amana. Maps and other BRIC information will be available at the registration table.
New this year, an optional loop to Fireside Winery to make the route 31 miles for those wishing to go the extra miles to do some wine tasting.
Bring the family, friends and other bike lovers; the ride is open to all and there will be local BBQ and live music in Amana that evening. Check out BRIC on Facebook by visiting “Bike Ride of Iowa County” for more updates.
