JOHNSON COUNTY— The Johnson County Ag Committee is sponsoring their annual Farm Tour on Tuesday, August 3, with a focus on northern Johnson County.
According to a release from the group, the first stop will be at 1 p.m. at the Colony Pumpkin Patch, 2780 Front St. NE in North Liberty. Visitors will be able to view three acres of sunflowers ready to bloom as well as the pumpkin patch. At 2:30 p.m. the tour stops at the Celebration Barn, 4045 245th St. NE, Solon, which is operated by the County Conservation Board. Participants are welcome to tour the grounds and gardens and see the woodworking barn.
Wilson Orchard and Farm, 4823 Dingleberry Rd. NE, Iowa City, follows at 4 p.m. Wilson’s is known for their apples, but there is so much more including a u-pick farm, bakery, and market. The final stop on the itinerary is Rapid Creek Cidery, adjacent to Wilson Orchard and Farm, at 5 p.m.
There is no charge for the tour and RSVPs are accepted.
