IOWA CITY– The Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association (HBA) LEGO Parade of Homes returns by popular demand May 17-31, with category winners announced June 11, sponsored by Great Western Bank. Kids, aged 17 and younger, are invited to summon their inner builder for a chance to win prizes, courtesy of Locals Love Us- ICR.
The LEGO parade tour goes live June 12 at www.iowacityhomes.thegazette.com/lego-tour, the first day of the Iowa City Area HBA Parade of Homes. The public votes on the website for LEGO favorites through June 20, the last day of the Iowa City Area HBA Parade of Homes and Remodelers Parade. The LEGO Parade People’s Choice Award recipient is revealed June 25. All winners are announced on Facebook @ICAreaHBAParadeofHomes and Instagram @icareahba.
To enter: collect all your LEGOs, build your home sweet home, take photos of your creation, and enter your masterpiece by 5 p.m. on May 31 at www.iowacityhomes.thegazette.com/lego-tour by following the prompts. Only first names are used when publicizing entries. Don’t forget to include a description (number of bedrooms, colors, types of countertops, etc.).

First: $50 to Bread Garden
Second: $25 to La Regia
Third: Iowa Children’s Museum Family Pass
Winners are named June 11, and judges are from Great Western Bank and Iowa City Area HBA Parade of Homes Presenting Co-Sponsors Hills Bank and Urban Acres Real Estate.
The entry with the most public votes wins the People’s Choice Award and $50 to Bread Garden. Voting is June 12-20 at www.iowacityhomes.thegazette.com. Winner is revealed June 25.
