Solon Robotics teams advance

SOLON– Two Solon Robotics First Tech Challenge teams have advanced to a postseason Super Qualifier on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Regina in Iowa City. Team 367, Jedi Pugs, and team 15055, 501st Legion, qualified at the league tournament in Ottumwa late last month.
The Jedi Pugs were captains of the tournament champions alliance while the 501st Legion were on the second-place finalist alliance of teams. Jedi Pugs also received the Control Award for excellence in the autonomous programming portion of the competition.
The Super Qualifier is the next step to qualifying for the Iowa Championship in Cedar Rapids Feb. 28-29. All events are open and free to the public with matches starting around 10 a.m. on the Feb. 15. Come to the event and see what competitive robotics (not Battle-Bots) is about while cheering for the Solon teams.
