Salvation Army kettle placed at Sam’s Main Street Market

IOWA CITY– The Johnson County Salvation Army has been welcomed into the Solon community. Sam’s Main Street Market is hosting a countertop Red Kettle to support the “Give Hope Today” holiday season.
Solon community member Alison Holroyd contacted the Johnson County Salvation Army to get her town involved this Christmas. With the support of Sam’s Main Street Market, a countertop Red Kettle has been placed by the check-out register. A Salvation Army bell accompanies the kettle and will be rung with each donation though Dec. 24.
In addition to the Solon location, Johnson County residents can find Salvation Army countertop Red Kettles at all University of Iowa Community Credit Union branches throughout North Liberty, Coralville and Iowa City. This donation option makes in convenient to support those in need in Johnson County.
The Johnson County Salvation Army is forming relations with the smaller communities of Iowa in the hope that, beginning in 2016, the many services provided to those in need can be offered to these areas on a local level.
If your business would like to learn about opportunities to support the Give Hope Today Campaign yet this year, contact Johnson County Salvation Army Development Director Trisha Smith, at 319-337-3725 or visit the website icsalvationarmy.org.
