SOLON– Homecoming will look quite a bit different in 2020.
The traditional Wednesday parade is anticipated to be replaced with a pep rally at Spartan Stadium, capping off with the crowning of the Homecoming King; and the Saturday dance will be converted to an outdoor event at the stadium, according to Solon High School Instructional Coach Amanda Stahle.
The Homecoming Queen will be announced and crowned at halftime of the Friday Sept. 25, varsity football game against the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings.
The outdoor stadium event will run from 8-11 p.m. on Sept. 26 for Solon High School students with a magician, outdoor movie and concessions.
