Free nature journaling class at Kent Park Saturday, Nov. 11

OXFORD– Do you love to write or draw and spend time in nature? Then try your hand at nature journaling. Johnson County Conservation (JCC) is offering a free Nature Journaling for Beginners class on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10-11:30 a.m. The class takes place at the Conservation Education Center in F.W. Kent Park.
Through fun journaling exercises, participants in the program will learn the basic skills needed to keep a nature journal, as well as several journaling techniques. JCC will provide paper, colored pencils, and other writing materials. Participants are encouraged to bring a journal of their own and to dress for the weather, as many activities will be outside.

F.W. Kent Park is located at 2048 HWY 6 NW, in Oxford. The park includes a beach, campground, bird blind, the Conservation Education Center, and over nine miles of hiking trails.
