Five Creek Girls named to WaMaC All-Conference Volleyball teams

CCA’s Clubb and Pollock earn First Team honors

TIFFIN– The WaMaC Athletic Conference released its 2020 All-Conference Volleyball teams on Wednesday, Oct. 21, with five student athletes from Clear Creek Amana (CCA) High School recognized for performances this season in the WaMaC West Division.
Calia Clubb, a junior, and Hailey Pollock, a senior, were selected for the First Team. Clubb was a unanimous selection. Senior Lauren Riggle was named to the Second Team, while junior Morgan Etscheidt and freshman Meg Berkland picked up WaMaC Recognition (honorable mention).
The Clippers’ season ended just short of postseason play due to a positive COVID-19 case on the team with a 25-6 record overall and a 5-1 showing in the WaMaC West. It was good for second place behind 23-7/6-0 Independence.

2020 WaMaC West Division All-WaMaC Volleyball Team selections for Clear Creek Amana
First Team— Calia Clubb, Hailey Pollock. Clubb, a junior and a unanimous selection, led the Clippers with 243 kills. She made 10 block assists and produced 226 digs, and 28 ace serves. Pollock, a senior, produced 221 kills, eight assists, and 36 ace serves. She made eight assists, 17 solo blocks, 62 block assists and 54 digs.
Second Team— Lauren Riggle. Riggle, a senior, made 60 kills and two assists with 208 digs, and 14 block assists. She produced 17 ace serves as well.
WaMaC Recognition— Morgan Etscheidt, Meg Berkland. Etscheidt, a junior, made 62 kills and one assist with 36 block assists and 44 digs. Berkland, a freshman, led the team in ace serves with 40. In addition, she produced 305 digs.
