Roy and Jennie Rambo of Vinton entertained with a graduation party for their son, Dalton, on Sunday, June 11, at the park in Vinton. Dalton recently graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg High School and is employed by Frazier’s Nursery in Vinton. Following the graduation party David and Tina Kearns, of Shellsburg, entertained with a party in honor of their daughter, Eliza, for her fourth birthday. Family and friends attended. Dalton and Eliza are the grandchildren of Shirley Worley.

Lenna See celebrated her 75th birthday with a family dinner at Ryan’s Restaurant in Cedar Rapids on Sunday, June 11. Those attending were Trula Ahrendsen, of Olin; Hanna Grant and Joe Seeley, of Amber; Ronna Beitz, of Hopkinton; Cheyenne Yerkes, of Coggon; Marvin and Verna Livermore, Randy Livermore, Julie Livermore, Becky Livermore and Terry Ard, and Kali Wegner, Xander and Star, all of rural Mount Vernon.

Miss Elli Wieneke was honored at a miscellaneous bridal shower Saturday morning, June 10, at the Swisher Bank social room in Swisher. Hostesses were Janine Norman, LuAnne Ask, Cindy Engler, Kathy Simonsen, Diane Novak, Arlene Weiland, Vicki Hrdlicka and Diana Kirkpatrick. Elli is the July 8 bride-elect of Dan Netolicky, of Ely. Elli is the daughter of Butch and Annette Wienke, of Ely, and Dan is the son of Rosella Netolicky, of Cedar Rapids, and the late Richard Netolicky.

Breanna Lynn Block was honored with a reception for her graduation from Prairie High School. The party was held on Friday evening, June 16, at the Lake Macbride Main Lodge. Breanna is the daughter of Patty Smyth and Dean Block. She plans to attend Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids this fall.

The Ely Town and Country Club met on Monday Evening, June 19, at the park in Fairfax, where they enjoyed a picnic supper. Hosts were Don and Barbara Pulkrab.
