Bollers and Swails named to All-State Football teams

Iowa Print Sports Writers Association names 2020 gridiron elite
Senior TJ Bollers puts on his game face earlier this season. The University of Wisconsin commit was named to the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association’s 2020 All-State Class 3A First Team.

DES MOINES– The Iowa Print Sports Writers Association (IPSWA), with input from the Iowa Football Coaches Association (IFCA), announced its 2020 All-State high school Football Teams on Tuesday, Nov. 24, with two Clear Creek Amana (CCA) athletes recognized.
Senior TJ Bollers was a First Team defensive line pick with 35.5 tackles this season including 25 solos, 1.5 quarterback sacks and 6.5 tackles for a loss of yardage. The University of Wisconsin commit also made six receptions for 36 yards and one touchdown this season and one pass for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Junior Ben Swails was a Second Team pick at punter with 22 punts for 936 yards this season. Swails also had one kickoff for 29 yards, and made six interceptions for four yards and made 14 tackles, including 11 solos. Offensively, Swails had four pass receptions for 36 yards and carried the ball five times for 40 yards including one 20-yard touchdown scamper. Swails pulled some quarterback duty, as well, completing 13 of 25 passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns.
Washington’s (Iowa) Trashaun Willis was named the captain of the Class 3A Team.
The Iowa Print Sports Writers Association was founded in February 2018 to carry on the tradition of newspapers selecting all-state teams for Iowa high school sports.
