“Halloweekend” in the Amana Colonies, Oct. 31-Nov 1

AMANA– As part of the first ever “Autumn in the Amanas,” the weekend of Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 is designated “Halloweekend.” The Amana Colonies celebrate the initial Halloweekend with a variety of frightfully fun events.
Visitors to the Amana Colonies are encouraged to dress up and join the fun with some scary good times including a costume parade at 4 p.m. on Oct 31, followed by a costume contest with prizes and finally a “Creepy Tour of Amana” at 5 p.m. Throughout the day, there is a Scary Sampling Stroll, special foods and shopping specials at many of the shops. A special Costumed Vintner Dinner featuring a five-course meal paired with wine is also scheduled for Saturday evening.
Sunday continues the fun but without the costumes. Shopping specials and the Sampling Stroll headline the events on Nov. 1.
Social distancing is being practiced, please bring a mask. Some events have limited capacity, so check the website or contact the business for details.
Detailed information on each weekend of Autumn in the Amanas is listed on the Calendar of Events at www.amanacolonies.com.
