Supporters of President Trump sail the Coralville Reservoir on Labor Day
NORTH LIBERTY– Johnson County has long been a bastion of the Democratic Party, with 57,631 (active and non-active) registered voters as of Sept. 1, according to the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office. In contrast, the Republican Party has 20,693 (active and non-active) registered voters in the county in its ranks.
Despite being heavily outnumbered, Johnson County Republicans took to the Coralville Reservoir and Mehaffey Bridge on Labor Day Monday, Sept. 7, to show support for President Donald Trump during a “Make the Rez Great Boat Parade.”
