SOLON– After the road loss in Cedar Rapids to Xavier the night before, the Lady Spartans were looking for a little redemption and found it, barely.
Solon’s varsity girls’ basketball team delivered a thriller as Gov. Reynolds loosened COVID restrictions and the Spartan Nation was allowed to return to the stands, albeit limited, battling the Maquoketa Cardinals to a 57-50 victory, at home, on Tuesday, Jan. 12.
Callie Levin poured in 15 points in the first half, welcoming the Solon faithful in grand fashion.
